Bodywork to Support your Grieving Journey

This is an invitation to receive mindfulness-based Therapeutic Massage & Sound Healing Modalities into your Healing Journey as you walk through the journey of Heartbreak, Grief and Loss.

Bodywork to support your healing journey

I know how difficult and painful it is, going through emotionally heartbreaking experiences…

  • Going through a Breakup

  • Going through Divorce

  • Losing Loved Ones

  • Attachment Trauma

  • Disconnection or Lack of Repair with Family

  • Recovering from Narcissistic Abuse or Trauma Bonded dynamics within Dysfunctional Relationships

All of these pivotal life experiences can trigger deep emotional dysregulation and can leave you emotionally unstable, heartbroken, depressed, overwhelmed and feeling lost.

I hear you. I understand. I have journeyed through deep grieving myself… Which is why I have been inspired to offer Bodywork intended to support your healing journey as you recover from devastation, grief, loss of attachment relationships, and heartbreak.

You are resilient, and You can & will recover.

What To Expect

  • Amethyst crystal Biomat heating pad

An Invitation

Going through the Dark Night of the Soul can be an excruciatingly painful experience, and there are few things in this world that can launch us into an overwhelming experience of uncontrollable heartbreak like losing loved ones and the traumatic ending of romantic relationships.

The emotional pain of losing beloveds, partners, or family members can be even more painful than physical pain. The sudden loss of an unresolved romantic relationship can feel like your arm has been cut off, or like your limbs have been severed. It can make you feel dead inside, or like your soul has been ripped out of your body. Or it can make you feel like your heart is being slowly raked over the coals for months and even years until your spirit has turned to ash.

The physical body is the embodiment of our emotional and spiritual energy body, which is why I believe that one of the best things we can do to support our healing journey while we go through a grieving process is to stay rooted in our physical well-being, and to do things that incorporate nourishing self-care practices into our healing process

We can choose from so many options to support our healing process while we are going through heartbreak, loss and grief; like going to therapy, or going on long walks in nature, or spending time with friends and family, committing to a discipline of working out and weight-lifting, or getting acupuncture, or going on a vision quest and traveling.

I felt inspired to create an offering of Therapeutic Massage combined with Sound Healing, to be used to support your healing process while you are in recovery from grief. Because, while talking about our hurt feelings can be helpful with the right support, it can also be a good idea to get out of our head and out of our stuck emotions that get trapped in repetitive ruminating cycles of blame, hurt, resentment and depression. Instead - let’s use bodywork to get connected to the sensations of our body, connected to our mindfulness based present moment awareness, and to feel that we can regulate our nervous system and move from a dysregulated state to a peaceful, calm regulated state.

On a Personal Note: I have been through 2 excruciatingly painful breakups over the last 5 years, and these two breakups have completely transformed me on a foundational level. Through this journey, I have been greatly inspired by the work of both Thais Gibson of the Personal Development School and her insight on attachment theory & how to develop secure attachment, and the work of relationship coach Stephan LaBossiere

Stephan has stated that the goal of a breakup is to invite you to focus on your healing journey and to do the inner work to become healed before you get into your next relationship. I have taken that feedback seriously, and have invested in my personal healing and self-development, before I invest my heart in a new, future relationship.

Embodied Sanctuary is the culmination in my path as a massage therapist and bodywork provider, and is a big part of my personal healing journey that I have been on over the last several years. I want to create an offering that will be mutually supportive and offer coregulation for y/our healing process, and inspire you to uplevel to your next level of self-development, and to do the inner work to increase your peace and self-confidence before you invest in your next relationship.

Instead of going from relationship to relationship, on an endless, unconscious relationship rollercoaster and never learning any of the hard painful lessons… Or instead of numbing yourself and distracting yourself after going through heartbreak, loss and grief - I want to invite you to connect to your body & regulate your nervous system.

We can’t change or fix the past,
but we can find peace,
regulate our nervous system and heal.

Feedback

“I am so grateful to have discovered Sitka at Embodied Sanctuary. I have been on a healing journey for years, but still struggled with issues surrounding boundaries, touch, and relationships. Each session with Sitka felt like years of therapy and left me feeling refreshed and empowered.

Her ability to tune in and know exactly what is going to help in a session is unmatched. She uses a variety of modalities in her practice and all are incredibly helpful. Her intuition and healing hands have completely changed my life and assisted me with the last pieces of my healing journey.

I am now able to confidently say and stick to my boundaries, accept touch without feeling uneasy, and have been able to let go of dysfunctional relationships that were not serving me. I am forever grateful and would highly recommend Sitka to anyone needing assistance on their journey to self healing, self love, and embodiment.”
