Hi There. My name is Wahkeena Sitka - my legal name is Kathryn Hoover, but please call me Sitka.
I have been a Massage Therapist & bodywork provider for more than 20 years, and I have worked with and touched thousands of clients.
Additionally, I am a Vocalist, Ecstatic Dance DJ, Web & Graphic Designer and Writer.
As a vocalist - my singing is meant to be a transmission and comes through as a direct current of channelling when it is inspired to flow through.
My bodywork practice is a fusion of 20 years dedicated to exploring a spectrum of bodywork modalities including: Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi, Swedish & Deep Tissue, Pelvic Bowl Myofascial Release - in addition to Yin Yoga, Sound Healing and body-centered healing arts rooted in breathwork & mindfulness.
I fell in love with energy work and discovered my passion of hands-on healing work when I became initiated into Reiki in 2001, which became my initiation into hands-on touch based bodywork.
My work is informed by over 20 years spent following my curiosity and exploring a wide spectrum of healing modalities including; Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi, Tantra, Cuddle Therapy, Ecstatic Dance, Cold Water Immersion, and Kambo.
In 2007, I learned how to be a Trance Dance facilitator with Wilbert Alix, who has since passed away.
In 2009, I graduated from massage school at the Ashland Institute of Massage.
I fell in love with Kambo in 2015, and in 2018 I studied with my mentor Ginny Ruthorford from Kambo International and have worked extensively with Kambo - both giving and receiving, and have given dozens of one-on-one Kambo treatments.
My work is also inspired & influenced by my studies in the Somatica Institute's Somatic Sex & Intimacy Coaching program, taught by Celeste and Danielle, having received their training in 2019.
Lastly, my work as a Women’s Pelvic Bowl Myofascial Release practitioner is deeply indebted to my mentor Ami Opal.
